Promising Pizza with the Student Farm

Promising Pizza is aimed to promote a Student Farm to Fork movement, encourage seasonal eating, and bring students together in preparation and sharing meals. To bring this to, we are looking to purchase food grade kitchen materials, a small preparation cart, and finally, the pizza oven.

While we are promising pizza, the oven would also be used to roast vegetables, bake desserts, and to cook culturally relevant foods that may require turning up the heat. Increasing food sovereignty on campus helps strengthens student relationships. We want to build a more informal setting for students to share a meal made start to finish by students, for students.

We want to spotlight our Student Farm as a communal space on campus, and encourage collaboration and informal education amongst students through shared meals.

Donations to our campaign will provide general support for the Student Farm, including the pizza oven and other food preparation materials.

Gifts of all sizes support student leaders and a more sustainable food system for us all.
