Support the Society of Water and Environmental Graduate Students (SWEGS) Group Fund!

The Society of Water and Environmental Graduate Students (SWEGS) are hosting their annual showcase on May 8, 2025!

This event is for graduate students in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department following the Environmental and Water tracts and allows them to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and professionalism. The showcase allows for faculty, industry professionals, and students to come together in collaboration surrounding all (or most) things environmental and water resources engineering related. Every year the showcase focuses on an important aspect of engineering whether it be the social, economic or political aspects of engineering, all of which impact our students’ research! By allowing our graduate students to create a poster to demonstrate their skills they are able to learn effective communication, the importance of being able to speak publicly, and the basics of networking with those around them.

This year SWEGS is aiming to raise $2,000 to provide breakfast snacks and coffee, provide lunch, and most importantly, to print posters for students interested in demonstrating their work. Gifts to our crowdfund project support the Society of Water and Environmental Graduate Students, including our current priority of the annual showcase.

Overall, SWEGS hopes to give their members the unique opportunity of presenting to their peers, professors, and potential future employers!
