Writing Symbols Lodge provides academic, personal, and cultural support services and programs to prospective and current First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, and offers a welcoming and supportive learning environment for the whole campus community.
The Writing Symbols Lodge (WSL) helps Indigenous students succeed by providing a variety of services, facilities, and events. At the lodge students can access student facilities, connect with a program advisor, get academic support, or join the Indigenous youth leadership outreach program known as Ótáp ímisskaan, where they can help Indigenous youth develop leadership skills, build self-awareness, offer knowledge, and encourage them to pursue post-secondary education.
