The world needs more physics and astronomy β and it also needs more traditionally underrepresented groups those fields. Thatβs where the Physics and Astronomy Mentorship (PAM) Talks come in! This student-led podcast showcasing the voices of researchers in underrepresented groups, including women and other gender minorities.
Each high-quality episode features a new mentor, providing a platform for them to share their research, personal experiences, and perspectives while celebrating the legacy of women and gender minorities in the field. PAM Talks also provide a valuable opportunity for students to develop science communication and leadership skills while connecting with experienced researchers.
To date, the podcast has been streamed over 1,200 times by an international audience spanning 17 countries. Available on all major podcast distribution platforms, the PAM Talks is hosted at https://thepamtalks.podbean.com with video interviews hosted at https://www.youtube.com/@phasers.
