UCalgary Biological Sciences field courses are intensive and immersive experiences that provide students with hands-on experience and help them develop meaningful skills in biology, ecology, and conservation.
Through these courses, students they learn how professionals not only collect data, but also analyze it and share their results. Field experience is a strong asset for students โ it helps them secure jobs after they graduate and offers them opportunities to gain experience that can inform their choice of careers and graduate studies.
Yet as costs rise across the globe, field schools are becoming more expensive. Your donation helps ensure that field schools remain accessible to Biological Sciences students. These schools empower the next generation of talent in critical fields such as fish and wildlife management, conservation organizations, and environmental consultancies.
With your support, we can continue to ensure meaningful, hands-on experiences for the next generation of biologists and build vital STEM skills that protect our natural world.
