Nourish Young Minds with Pantry Pals Summer Camp

Who are we?

We are the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Arkansas, dedicated to helping students and communities learn, serve, and grow together. Through partnerships across Northwest Arkansas, we create meaningful, hands-on programs that connect education with real community needs. Pantry Pals is our newest initiative designed to inspire elementary-aged students to become compassionate, informed neighbors.

Why are we raising money?

Food insecurity affects families across our region, yet many young students have never had the chance to learn about where food comes from and/or how they can help others access it. Pantry Pals will introduce children to food systems, the realities of food insecurity, and the impact of the Full Circle Food Pantry and Garden through interactive learning and service. We’re raising $5,500 during One Day, One U of A to make this summer camp possible by covering supplies, educational activities, and access for local students. Your support ensures this opportunity is affordable, impactful, and ready for summer 2026.
