Ensure Statewide Access to Live Music with Music 75

The Department of Music is again embarking on a project to make music in all 75 Arkansas counties. Named Music75, the initiative's goal is to provide powerful cultural experiences in many places where they are rare or unavailable. By providing access to these music experiences, Music75 shows the Department of Music's commitment to the university's land-grant mission by serving all of Arkansas. This initiative builds on the extraordinary success of the first Music75 series and creates unforgettable moments for audiences, while also providing students with hands-on opportunities to connect with communities across the state.

Support for Music75 will help expand the Department of Music's efforts to ensure that more Arkansans experience live music in their communities. When the department last performed at schools, libraries, and community centers around the state, audiences told Music75 performers, "No one ever comes here." U of A performers are excited to return to all counties in the state to create new relationships and to hear once again from old friends, "Welcome back!"
