Provide a Safety Net with the International Student Emergency Fund

The International Student Emergency Fund supports international students facing unexpected financial emergencies or crises that could force them to withdraw from classes.

Medical expenses, unforeseen transportation needs, family emergencies, or sudden property damage can quickly derail a student’s educational goals and aspirations.

Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends, this nationally-recognized fund has distributed more than $90,000 in support to hundreds of students since its inception. However, funds are limited. Students on average request $500 for assistance but grant amounts are based on funds available and currently average $250. Your contribution allows GSIE to provide greater support and respond to more emergency requests.

Your gift can be the difference, helping ensure that U of A students remain enrolled and continue to pursue their goals. Gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law, and are immediately available for a student in need once the donation is completed.
