Safeguard Student Success with the College of Engineering
In the College of Engineering, we solve problems together, including those that arise outside the classroom.
The College of Engineering student success funds provide critical financial assistance to engineering students facing challenges that tuition and financial aid don't cover. Each academic department within the College has a dedicated fund available, so you can choose the engineering area you would like to support.
Unexpected hardships like housing instability, food insecurity, and medical emergencies can derail a dedicated student's academic journey in an instant. But barriers to success aren't always emergencies. Students also need support for conference travel, research project supplies, and professional development opportunities that are essential to their growth as engineers.
These funds address both needs: short-term emergency support to help students navigate crisis moments, and investment in the academic and professional experiences that prepare them for their careers. No engineering student should have to choose between their basic needs and their education, and no student should miss a formative opportunity because of cost alone. Support like this helps students stay enrolled when an unexpected bill might otherwise have forced them to drop out.
To ensure every student has access to this vital support, each academic department within the College of Engineering maintains a dedicated fund for its students, with resources specifically allocated to support them. This ensures that help is always available and tailored to the unique needs of students within each engineering discipline.
