Every child deserves a school where the arts unlock opportunity. Arkansas A+ turns hope into action and possibility into promise by integrating the arts into everyday teaching and learning.

WHO WE ARE

Arkansas A+ views the arts as fundamental to teaching and learning. We are a statewide school transformation model supported by a dedicated staff and a network of master artists and educators, A+ Fellows, who partner with teachers and school leaders to create engaging, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences for students.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all training, Arkansas A+ honors the uniqueness of every teacher and school. We provide customized professional development and sustained mentoring tailored to each classroom and school community.

In the past year alone, Arkansas A+ has reached more than 316 educators from 80 school districts and up to 27,000 students across Arkansas. We currently partner with 16 schools and 10 education service cooperatives, serving educators in 50 counties, including many rural and high-poverty communities.

THE WHY

Every child deserves access to an arts-rich education regardless of their zip code. Many of the communities we serve have limited access to arts instruction and professional learning opportunities with more than 70% of students in some member schools qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch.

Arts integration helps level the playing field. Research, and our own results, show that when teachers use the arts to teach core subjects, students are more engaged, think more creatively, and achieve stronger academic outcomes. This campaign helps us expand professional development and coaching for educators who are ready to reimagine learning in their classrooms right now.
