Gifts to International Student Emergency Fund contribute to...
UAB is home to more than 1,000 international students, of which the majority are pursuing graduate degrees. These students face unique challenges in that unplanned financial, or familial events can quickly end their studies at UAB, thus also affecting their immigration status and changing their lives forever.
The International Student Assistance Fund provides a resource to international students and their families in the event of medical or personal events –tuition-related expenses as well as non-educational costs such as travel home, assistance if the victim of a violent crime, bureaucratical errors in payments from their home country, etc.
Your gift will help us support our international students during their time at UAB and make a positive impact on their educational experience.
