CampBIZ 2025

CampBIZ, a UAB Collat School of Business summer camp for high school students from Birmingham and surrounding areas, is a one-week summer day camp to be held June 9-13, 2025. The summer day camp will provide 20 - 30 high school students with the opportunity to improve their business acumen and prepare for the transition to college through a series of active learning workshops delivered by on-site business experts.

Workshops in the areas of communication, business research, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, global innovation, information systems, leadership, marketing, and more prepare students to think critically about the business of business. Learning business basics is made fun through innovative workshops such as last year's Business and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Hogwarts for High Schoolers, and The Perfect Elevator Pitch. Finally, students will complete a capstone project showcasing their time and talent; and, friends and families will share in a final awards banquet.

Throughout the week-long summer day camp, Birmingham-area high schoolers will have access to UAB Collat classrooms, technologies, resources, and instructors. They will have the opportunity to connect and network with Birmingham-area business experts to actively learn, practice business basics, and build fundamental skills and career confidence - all of which will contribute to successful outcomes such as high school graduation, university readiness and retention, career preparedness, university graduation, and greater connection to community.
