Donors itemizing their contribution are advised that per IRS guidelines, the charitable portion of your donation must be reduced by the fair market value of the pin, which is valued at $3.82 each. If your gift is greater than or equal to $62.50, then the full amount of your gift can be considered tax-deductible. We encourage you to consult your tax adviser about the deductibility of any charitable contribution.

Incentives

All undergraduate seniors, graduating graduate students, and parents of a senior undergraduate student who make an online gift of $20.25 or more to an unrestricted Fund between February 20, 2025, and April 29, 2025, are eligible to receive a commemorative pin. Limit one pin per donor. Supplies are limited. Questions about the pin can be directed to Madison Morriss, Assistant Director of Annual Giving, at annualgiving@unc.edu.
