UNC Kenan-Flagler’s advancement team has secured a commitment from an anonymous UNC MBA alum to donate up to $50k in matching funds to the Kenan-Flagler Social Impact Summer Grant Endowed Fund named in honor of Stacia L. Wood. The anonymous donor has challenged the School to raise $20k gifts and commitments from alumni and friends to Social Impact Summer Grant Endowed Fund before June 30, 2020.
We are reaching out to alumni and friends of Kenan-Flagler and Center for Sustainable Enterprise to ask them to contribute toward the challenge campaign. For every dollar that you give, the anonymous donor will give three dollars to build the Social Impact Summer Grant endowment!
Once fully endowed at one hundred thousand dollars, the Social Impact Summer Grant Endowed Fund will generate annual investment earnings of about $5,000 that will be given in perpetuity directly to deserving UNC MBA students pursuing internships that require business skills that will benefit these social impact organizations. The Social Impact Summer Grant Fund benefits UNC Kenan-Flagler as a whole by strengthening UNC’s position among the best MBA programs, attracting candidates with diverse interests and backgrounds, meeting critical student needs, and demonstrating commitment to the School’s core values.
