Provide Books for Pediatric Patients!
Help the UNC Hospital School raise funds to distribute books to pediatric patients across the UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. Each year, we provide thousands of books to children in the pediatrics floors, neurosciences unit, oncology/hematology clinic, burn unit, dialysis unit, psychiatric emergency room, and more. Because of a long-standing single-use policy, every book given to a child becomes their own to keep.
These books do more than entertain—they teach about the world and universe around us and offer comfort and escape during difficult hospital stays. Providing educational and library services ensures our students don’t miss out on the learning opportunities they would have in their community schools. When children can’t come to the school and library, we bring school and the library to them.
