About

Help Adults Living with Sickle Cell Disease in Malawi!

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a painful, lifelong condition that affects millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa. Until just a few decades ago, most children with SCD did not survive to adulthood. Today, thanks to advances in care, more adults are living with this disease—but many remain at serious risk.

The UNC-Malawi Sickle Cell Program is committed to providing comprehensive care for adults with SCD, improving quality of life and outcomes for patients who need it most. Your gift helps deliver essential treatment, education, and support for individuals and families impacted by this devastating condition.

Join us this Tar Heal Tuesday and make a difference for patients in Malawi. Give today!
