Support the Food as Medicine Program!
The Food as Medicine Program at the UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health provides consistent access to healthy food for individuals living with serious mental illness as part of our whole-person care model.
Patients benefit through:
- Community cabinets at our Carr Mill and Raleigh clinics
- Heat-and-eat meals from Assertive Community Treatment teams in Wake and Orange/Chatham counties
- Fresh produce from our Farm at Penny Lane in Chatham County
This program addresses a critical need for food security in the recovery journeys of those we serve.
Your gift can make an immediate impact:
- $250 stocks a month’s worth of healthy staples in one community cabinet
- $500 provides over 60 healthy heat-and-eat meals for those in greatest need
- $1,000 stocks both community cabinets for two months
Join us this Tar Heal Tuesday and help nourish hope and healing! Give today to support the Food as Medicine Program.
