Help Break the Cycle of Family Violence

For more than 25 years, the UNC Health Beacon Program has worked to support pediatric and adult patients impacted by interpersonal and family violence across North Carolina. All services for adult patients are provided free of charge, and your gift can make a big difference in the lives of those experiencing abuse.

The need is urgent:

• 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys in the U.S. experience abuse or neglect during childhood
• 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe physical abuse from a partner in their lifetime

Your gift provides real help:

• $10 buys a book for a child in our evaluation clinic
• $25 pays for a gas card to help a family bring a child to our clinic
• $75 provides a prepaid phone for a victim of human trafficking
• $100 helps a domestic violence survivor buy groceries
