About

Support Young Cancer Patients!

A cancer diagnosis is never easy. But imagine being a teenager, a recent college graduate or a newly enlisted soldier and learning you have cancer. For adolescent and young adult cancer patients, facing the pain, stress and confusion that accompanies a life-changing diagnosis comes with unique challenges.

UNC Lineberger’s Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program provides age appropriate psychosocial and medical care for patients and their support communities, advances research in the field of AYA oncology, educates providers about the unique needs of young people living with cancer, and improves care for AYA patients across the state of North Carolina and beyond.

A gift on Tar Heal Tuesday will enhance our programming and directly help AYAs currently undergoing cancer treatment. Join us today! All gifts will be matched, one – to – one, up to $7,000!
