Though each person ages in their own unique way, medical care becomes more complex with age. As conditions accumulate, costs also increase due to the need for special services and supplies. Unfortunately, older adults’ incomes tend to become fixed around the time their health care needs and costs increase. The UNC Geriatrics Clinic Patient Fund helps older adults pay for necessary items that insurance doesn't cover and they can't afford.
