This meaningful fundraising event is held in loving honor of Christopher. Christopher was a vibrant soul whose curiosity and boundless energy made the world feel bigger and brighter. Before his diagnosis, he moved through life with a joyful restlessness, eager to explore everything around him, and gifted with a laughter so infectious you couldn’t help but laugh along with him. He had a natural warmth that drew people in instantly, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met—from his devoted family to the dogs he loved so dearly.
When his battle began in July of 2022, that beautiful essence remained unbroken. Even at just eight years old, he displayed a level of bravery that was nothing short of heroic; though there were moments of fear and worry, he met them with grace. Whether he was finding a much-needed escape in his video games or sharing his love for Baby Yoda—a symbol that now serves as a bittersweet reminder of his sweet spirit—Christopher remained the same happy and loving boy the world first fell in love with. He fought with the heart of a warrior, but he lived with the heart of a child who knew exactly how much he was loved. Though his life was far too short, his bright spirit lives on, continuing to inspire hope, compassion, and action for children and families facing similar fights.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the UNC Children’s Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fund, supporting critical research, treatment, and compassionate care for children battling cancer and blood disorders.
