  • Anna Carpenter Lee Apache Belle Memorial Scholarship - $1,000.00 - Covers approximately half the cost of tuition and fees for one year at TJC (100% of your gift is tax deductible and will go directly to TJC in support of the Anna Carpenter Lee Apache Belle Memorial Scholarship)

This is a TJC Apache Belle Scholarship:

  • To honor the life of Anna Carpenter Lee’s dedicated service to Tyler Junior College and the Apache Belles.    

  • To further the TJC's philosophy of Quality Education, Vibrant Student Life and Service to the Community.

  • To provide an annual scholarship to a TJC Apache Belle student who shows excellence in character, grades and leadership.

Anna Carpenter Lee directed the Internationally Famous Apache Belles at Tyler Junior College, from the late 1970's through the early 1980's. Under her leadership the Belles performed at the halftime Super Bowl, met President Jimmy Carter at the White House in Washington D.C., and met celebrities including Bob Hope, Red Skelton and Anita Bryant.

Help us honor Anna Carpenter Lee's life and tireless work with the Apache Belles at TJC by making a donation today.  Your donation will not only help honor her life and accomplishments, but also pass along the historic legacy to the next generation of Apache Belles.  

May Anna's grace, elegance, hard work, beauty and Apache spirit, live on in every perfect high kick and in every performance and every football game at home and around the world...
