What is Relays?
Our annual Relays event is a mini-Olympics style competition between the academic programs at Tufts Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS). It is important event to the student body as it is one of the few events annually that all GSBS programs participate in. Relays consists of an academic portion, where students submit their academic achievements for points, and an athletic portion, where we host an assortment of competitive athletic events including track events, obstacle courses, volleyball, and corn-hole. The athletic portion is an all-day event and is open to the Tufts community. An important component of Relays is to raise funds towards the Student Enrichment Fund. All profits from attendance and raffle ticket sales, as well as monetary donations, all go towards the Student Enrichment Fund.
Relays will be held on July 19th on the Tufts Medford campus.
What is the Student Enrichment Fund?
While Tufts provides our students with rigorous course work and research training, opportunities to explore and grow outside of the classroom and the Tufts community are also a critical component of our training and allow the students to become more well-rounded scientists. The Student Enrichment Fund provides our students with access to these academic and professional development opportunities. Over the past twenty-plus years, the Fund has financially supported students to present at scientific conferences, enroll in outside training, attend career and networking seminars, and participate in technical skills workshops.
Relays will be held on July 19th on the Tufts Medford campus.
Without your generosity and the assistance offered by the Student Enrichment Fund, many of these professional growth opportunities would be inaccessible to students like us at a time that is the most crucial.
Thank you for your support!
