The Path to GreaTness: Shamrock Rally
Introducing The Shamrock Rally, a brand-new Annual Fund fundraising campaign created by students through our unique House System to unite the Trinity Family in gratitude and support for Trinity High School. This is a five-day fundraising campaign where students from each Trinity House share their stories, their growth, and their Path to GreaTness. Through meaningful, student-created videos, our young men reflect on the opportunities, mentorship, and community that define the Trinity experience. Many of these stories would not be possible without our generous supporters.
This week, we invite you to help carry forward this powerful tradition of generosity. The Shamrock Rally celebrates the incredible people - our students and our alumni, dedicated faculty, supportive parents, generous donors, and loyal friends who guide our young men to become men of faith and character.

Trinity Forever
Patrick House is named after St. Patrick of Ireland, who is revered by Christians for establishing the Church in Ireland during the fifth century AD. It is believed that Patrick taught the Christian concept of the Trinity to the Irish through the use of the shamrock.
Another popular folk tale says that St. Patrick chased all snakes from Ireland. Ironically adopting the tradition of St. Patrick and the snakes, the Patrick House mascot is the Viper. Their Motto, “in virtute sunt multi ascensus,” means there are many ways to excellence.
While possessing members with individual talents, each member has a path to follow to achieve communal excellence. Individually, they may not be the strongest or most excellent, but together they strive for excellence.
Patrick House has a rich history of excellence, culminating in three House Cup championships in 2007, 2010 and 2015.

Gonzaga House is named after Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, who is the patron saint of Catholic youth. St. Aloysius spent most of his life devoted to children and teenagers, especially the sick.
His spiritual director was Robert Bellarmine who later was canonized and declared a doctor of the church. When Robert was dying, he asked to be buried next to the grave of Aloysius. Today, they rest next to each other in the church of St. Ignatius Loyola in Rome. Pope Benedict XIII canonized Aloysius in 1726, and three years later declared him to be the patron of youth in the Catholic Church, an honor later confirmed by Pope Pius XI in 1926.
Gonzaga's house motto is NON SIBI SED OMNIBUS, which means “Not for self, but for ALL.”

Saint Flannan was the son of an Irish King. As a young man, he served as a baker at a monastery in Killaloe. He was well-respected because he served both the rich and the poor. After a pilgrimage to Rome and a meeting with the Pope, Saint Flannan became the first Bishop of Killaloe, Ireland during the 7th century and established many churches in Ireland.
It is said that a heavenly fire shone through our patron saint’s hands. Following that theme, Flannan House has chosen fire as its symbol. Our motto is Honestae Gloria Fax Mentis which means “Glory is the firebrand of the honorable mind.” Simply put, glory to God is the goal of our honest efforts.
In our House, we have given our honest efforts in the yearly House Cup race. The past couple of years we have been “on fire” and moving up in the rankings. This year, with great senior leadership, we’re looking to go to the top! As the old saying goes, “HEAT RISES!”

96 days ago by John King Jr.The House motto for Aquinas House is consilio non impetus. The English translation, “by wisdom not by rashness,” reflects the virtues of our House patron, Saint Thomas Aquinas.
St. Thomas Aquinas came from a family of nobility and wealth in Italy. He could have chosen a life of pleasure; instead he dedicated his life to serving God. Aquinas was noted for his great wisdom. He wrote the Summa Theologica, a key document which helped to fashion the theological language of the Catholic Church.
The Aquinas House mascot is the knight. Our House colors of purple, white and black symbolize royalty, honesty and fearlessness.
Aquinas House won the House Cup in 2013, 2014, and 2021, 2023, and 2024.

House is named after Dante Alighieri, a 13th-14th century Italian poet / politician, and one of the most famous figures of world literature, who was admired most for his epic work, The Divine Comedy.
We take as our mascot the legendary bird the phoenix. According to legend, only one phoenix could exist at a time; it could live up to 500 years. As its end approached, the phoenix built a nest, set itself on fire, and was consumed by the flames. From the fire sprang a new phoenix, which was stronger than its predecessor.
Our house motto, Viribus Unitis, means “by united efforts.” Dante is a brotherhood. We depend on the collective efforts of all our members to ensure success. EVERYONE has been granted a God-given talent — those talents are put to work in Dante!
Dante won the inaugural House Cup in 2002 and again in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2020.
