Trevecca students heavily rely on the Waggoner Library for studying and accessing key resources that are otherwise too expensive to purchase.
Students get excited about the library’s creative item offerings—including a greenscreen, smartphone gimbals and microphones —all made possible by previous Giving Day generosity. Through Giving Day support, the Waggoner Library hopes to expand these options with a new DSLR camera, allowing students and staff to test out a higher-quality camera for individual projects, classes, a new hobby or curiosity about industry skills.
The demand to use the library for study sessions is also high. Whiteboard markers were checked out over 1,400 times last year, and our existing rolling whiteboards are experiencing overusage to the point they are breaking down. We hope to purchase high-quality, sturdy whiteboards that can hold up to enthusiastic use in all corners of the library.
Additionally, funds will be used to purchase rechargeable portable generators, allowing students to study and work in “dead zones” without electrical outlets to plug in their laptops and keep working uninterrupted.
