The library’s existing technology and gadget lending, made possible primarily by previous Giving Day contributions, is very popular! We’re able to support students with needs ranging from studying (whiteboards), keeping their devices charged (charging cables of all types are far and away the most popular items we have), accessing content (disc drives, DVD players), supporting the ongoing need for videoconferencing (webcams, ring lights, headsets), and supporting both individual creative projects and arts-related classes with things like smartphone gimbals, microphones, phone stands, and the greenscreen.
This year, the library hopes to expand the existing collection by adding items that have been requested. In addition, in recognition of the importance of out-of-classroom experiences and the response to the library’s small existing collection of board games, Waggoner Library hopes to expand those non-digital creative offerings by adding additional board games and hands-on activities.
