Laurie has spent her career breaking glass ceilings — becoming Maine’s first female State Economist, the first woman CEO of the Maine Development Foundation, and Thomas College’s first female president.
Under her leadership, Thomas underwent a significant transformation, with new buildings constructed, the endowment doubling, student retention increasing by 20%, and the incoming GPA rising from 2.8 to 3.4.
