Athletics

Over 450 students participate in varsity sports at Thomas, making the student-athlete population almost 50% of the student body.

Each year, coaches and athletes raise funds to purchase new equipment, participate in out-of-state training and tournaments, and access important team building opportunities. Perhaps most importantly, fundraising helps ensure all student-athletes have access to these experiences and resources regardless of their personal ability to pay.

Our student-athletes train and play hard and they study hard, too. In fact, this past year we celebrated 19 out of 20 teams averaging a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the President’s Council Academic Challenge. That represents the highest team average in Thomas history. Our teams have outperformed themselves on a conference academic level as well, going from 36 students to make All-Conference Academic awards in 2018/19 to 152 making All-Conference Academics in 2023/24! That’s a win-win-WIN!
