School of Music - Friends of Music

The UT San Antonio School of Music prepares the next generation of musicians, educators, composers, and performers through rigorous artistic training, academic excellence, and vibrant performance opportunities. Rooted in diverse musical traditions and fueled by creative exploration, the School of Music equips students with both technical mastery and artistic expression.

Students engage in ensemble performance, solo recitals, music education pathways, composition, and collaborative projects — gaining experience in performance halls, community venues, and alongside faculty who are respected practitioners and educators. Whether pursuing classical, jazz, commercial music, or music education, students build real-world skills and professional confidence.

Your support strengthens this dynamic program by expanding access to scholarships, performance resources, guest artists, travel opportunities, and enriched learning experiences that help students thrive as creative leaders, performers, and teachers in music.
