Mariachi Los Paisanos

Mariachi Los Paisanos is one of UT San Antonio’s most beloved and fastest-growing student mariachi ensembles, rooted in the rich musical traditions of San Antonio and Mexican cultural heritage. The group features classic mariachi instrumentation — including violin, guitar, trumpet, guitarrón, bajo sexto, and vihuela — and performs at campus events, local venues, and community celebrations throughout the region.

Open to students from all majors, Mariachi Los Paisanos provides immersive musical performance opportunities, collaboration with talented peers, and a chance to represent UT San Antonio with pride in recital halls, commencement ceremonies, and regional festivals.

Your support strengthens this culturally vibrant ensemble by expanding access to scholarships, performance resources, professional attire (trajes), travel opportunities, and community engagement experiences that help students grow as musicians and ambassadors of mariachi tradition.
