UT San Antonio’s Film and Media Studies program offers a multidisciplinary and immersive path into the world of storytelling, production, and media analysis. The curriculum combines film history, culture and theory, and hands-on production training so students learn both the creative and critical aspects of the field.
Students develop skills in screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and media analysis while gaining experience with professional equipment and creating original works. The program also includes opportunities for internships, portfolio development, and collaboration with faculty across the arts and humanities.
Your support enhances access to cutting-edge tools, production labs, travel for festivals or conferences, and real-world projects — empowering students to build creative portfolios, explore industry pathways, and launch careers in film, media, and storytelling.
