UT San Antonio’s Dramatic Arts program prepares students for careers in performance, storytelling, and production by combining rigorous training in acting, stagecraft, and performance history with hands-on experience in live and media environments. As the first four-year dramatic arts degree at a public university in San Antonio, the program blends theory and practice to cultivate confident, creative professionals.
Students refine their craft through performance opportunities, internships, and collaboration with faculty and industry professionals, gaining experience in acting for stage and screen, directing, playwriting, design, and technical production. Supported by professional facilities and immersive productions, students graduate ready to compete in dynamic creative industries.
Your support expands access to production resources, travel, guest artists, and experiential learning — empowering students to bring new stories to life and build successful careers in the dramatic arts.
