About

The Minority Health Conference at UNC holds distinction as the nation's largest and longest-running student-led health conference. Drawing over 500 attendees on-site and many more via webcast, the conference is an opportunity for UNC students in public health and aligned disciplines to advance dialogue on issues of diversity and inclusion, network with students from peer institutions, and grow academically. Notably, as a student-led initiative, the conference provides an exciting platform for the next generation of public health scholars to gain leadership and professional development experience as they prepare to enter the workforce.

We seek to raise awareness around health disparities and mobilize students, academics, and community members to take action for change. In the Minority Health Conference's milestone 40th year, we consider the way in which advocacy efforts have been instrumental in advancing the health of minorities and people of color, celebrating history and discussing advocacy efforts in the present and future.

The conference is organized, led, and championed by students and those who share our vision for a healthier world for all. To this end, your support is critical to the conference's success. With your gift, you are helping to keep student access affordable, provide learning and leadership opportunities for future public health students, and help us share our findings with hundreds of students and thought leaders nationwide.
