Welcome to The New Hood!
The New Hood develops community-based public policy to building thriving urban Black and Brown neighborhoods. We envision a world where Black and Brown neighborhoods are thriving decades into the future.
Based at The New School, The New Hood aligns with the university’s legacy of heterodox intellectual thought and defiance of tradition.
Our Core Strategies
- Incubate policy ideas of people from the hood
- Educate people in the community on policy and government
- Elevate policy perspectives and voices of folks form the hood
