Feet in 2 Worlds

This campaign ended on November 15, 2019, but you can still make a gift to The New School by clicking here!

With the U.S. facing the most consequential election in many decades, Feet in 2 Worlds plans to train and mentor a group of journalists from immigrant backgrounds to cover the 2020 campaign in states and cities with large and growing immigrant populations. We need to hear their voices and their perspectives on this historic election.

Each fellowship costs $7,500, and your donation can pay for a day of reporting by a fellow, recording equipment, and other expenses directly related to covering the news and training. Our goal is to raise $7,500 to support one fellowship and there are only a few short weeks to do it.

Make your tax-deductible gift today! The next $2000 contributed to our campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a fund created by other generous donors.

Your donation will support unique, powerful and informative election coverage while also investing in the next generation of immigrant journalists. You’ll get to read and hear coverage and updates from the election fellow you’ve supported, learning about races around the country from their unique perspective, knowing that you have helped to make it possible.

The New School community has always shared the desire to create a better, more inclusive, and more engaged world.

Feet in 2 Worlds has been putting these values to work for nearly 15 years.  A program of the Center for New York City Affairs at The New School, Feet in 2 Worlds trains and mentors journalists from immigrant backgrounds and amplifies their voices on public radio, in podcasts, and online news sites.

Please support a Feet in 2 Worlds 2020 Election Fellowship.  Your support matters, now more than ever.  Join us today.
