Honoring Gunston Greats
Monday, June 7 through Wednesday, June 9
Join us in celebrating three #GunstonGreats as they retire after many years of service to the school with a donation to the Heron Annual Fund in their honor. Tune in as we share stories from students, alumni, and colleagues about all the ways in which their lives were changed for the better by special people who care deeply, a hallmark of a Gunston education. Of course there are many, many #GunstonGreats deserving of recognition, and we want to hear about them too! So please share your stories with us so we may honor and celebrate those who made a difference in your life.
Your generosity makes it possible for Gunston to provide 60% of its students with financial aid, as well as provide opportunities for students and faculty to travel to leadership conferences, robotic competitions, environmental trips, and more. Your donations allow more children the opportunity to have their lives impacted by the amazing faculty and staff here at Gunston.
Long-time colleague and friend Mr. Mike Clemens (pictured below, who also teaches Math at Gunston) has known Mrs. Shep for more than two decades. “I met Weixing about 25 years ago, as we both taught at St. Michaels (at different times.) I have worked with her at Gunston for 19 years. Her passion, drive, love and humor are surpassed by few people that I have met. I will miss hearing her teach from my room. You can always tell that she is into every class she teaches.”
