Gifts to School of Philosophy contribute to...
As an ecclesiastical faculty accredited by the Holy See under the Apostolic Constitution Veritatis Gaudium, The Catholic University of America’s School of Philosophy contributes to the University's unique academic mission in multiple ways.
Our doctoral program ranks among the best and has placed graduates in teaching positions at colleges, universities, and seminaries across the country. Our commitment to undergraduate education is evident in our contributions to the liberal arts curriculum, ethics courses in engineering and nursing, and a thriving major program. We aim to foster the dialogue of Christian faith and human reason, attracting many seminarians and students seeking philosophical formation.
Driven by the belief in the intelligibility of reality, we tirelessly pursue understanding of the world around us, contributing to the human good. Supported by generous Founders Day gifts, the School of Philosophy will continue its tradition of scholarly and teaching excellence, preparing students to engage with persons of all faiths and perspectives, in addressing the crucial questions of our age.
The Basselin Scholars Program is a three-year honors program designed for seminarians to complete the final two years of their Bachelor of Philosophy (Ph.B.) while earning a Licentiate in Philosophy (Ph.L.). To help meet the program’s immediate needs, contribute to the Basselin Scholarship Current Use Fund.
