Gifts to School of Theology and Religious Studies contribute to...
The School of Theology and Religious Studies' mission of pontifical and ecclesiastical education comes directly from the heart of the Church as guided by the Vatican: to teach and to offer academic degrees to the lay and clergy leaders of tomorrow by the authority of the Pope and the Bishops. We don’t just teach about the Church; we teach for it.
As the nation’s premier Catholic University, The Catholic University of America has long played a leadership role in larger conversations: conversations within the Catholic Church about matters of intense social and theological importance; conversations between the Catholic Church and other Christian communities in the United States and beyond; and conversations between the Catholic Church and American society. The school exerts this leadership role first and foremost by the theological education provided to its students, great numbers of whom have gone on to play leadership roles at every level of society including civil and ecclesial contexts, in the United States and throughout the world, and by the research, publications, and public contributions of its faculty.
The generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff, and friends strengthens our ability to serve our mission and extend our reach far into the community. By making a gift this Founders Day to The School of Theology and Religious Studies, you allow us to live out our mission of creating future leaders of our Church, our nation, and the world.
