Gifts to School of Canon Law contribute to...
The Catholic University of America is home to the only school of canon law in the United States, serving the Catholic Church with a strong focus on the needs and opportunities of the Church in the United States. As such, we are uniquely suited to prepare students for the professional practice of canon law. The School of Canon Law familiarizes students with the development, interpretation, and application of the Catholic Church's body of law. Primarily, the school focuses on the Code of Canon Law for the Latin Church, promulgated by Pope John Paul II in 1983. Educated by the School of Canon Law, alumni are prepared for the professional practice of canon law in diocesan and religious administration, in ecclesiastic tribunals, in the teaching of canon law, and in scientific canonical research. By making a gift this Founders Day to The School of Canon Law, you will support the unique educational opportunities offered to our students - the current and future leaders of our Church.
