Rawls Dress for Success Scholarship

Cultivating student success since 2003, the Rawls Career Management Center empowers students by helping them Prep, Connect, Get Hired, and Succeed. We start with helping students PREP by providing career coaching, workshops and events to equip students for career success. Then we CONNECT our students with our employer partners to create networking and career opportunities. Throughout the recruitment process we focus on helping students GET HIRED by coordinating career fairs and on-campus interviews and providing access to our online recruitment software, Handshake. Our ultimate goal is to help our students gain confidence and establish professional skills that will help them succeed.

Looking your best is not only necessary when making a first impression with your employers, but also is a key factor in building confidence before students walk into the interview or other recruiting events. The Dress for Success Scholarship has been created to assist students who do not have the financial means to purchase professional business attire. Students are awarded this scholarship through an application process where they describe their needs and career goals. Your gift on the Texas Tech Day of Giving will assist students who need a little help putting their best foot forward as they begin their professional careers.
