Arts & Sciences Office of Student Success

At the College of Arts & Sciences (A&S), we are committed to providing not only outstanding instruction from nationally acclaimed faculty, but also a wealth of resources to ensure the success of A&S students. That’s why, for this year’s Texas Tech Day of Giving, we encourage you to donate to our college’s Office of Student Success.

The Office of Student Success (OSS) is a team partnering with all A&S students to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom. They provide a holistic approach by working collaboratively with other support offices to give students the resources and proven practices needed to improve their academic skills and continued success.

Each team member in the OSS is a certified life coach, meaning these individuals are specially trained coaching mentors who meet regularly with students throughout the semester. In these sessions, the student and the life coach work together to identify stressors, build confidence; and gain tools to assist in establishing goals and helping students develop the awareness to connect their choices and decisions with their overall values leading to academic success and degree completion.

In addition to the coaching and direction given by the team, your gift will also help OSS provide resources to our students such as emergency funds, books, workshops and more.
