Gifts to Ranch Life Learning Center contribute to...
Did you grow up reading Hank the Cowdog books? Many people have enjoyed Hank the Cowdog’s capers over the years, and if you haven’t yet, now’s the time! My name is Jim Bret Campbell, and I am the Executive Director at your National Ranching Heritage Center at Texas Tech. You may know the Center as NRHC or the Ranch, and now you can be part of bringing Hank the Cowdog exclusively to our campus.
The National Ranching Heritage Center is fundraising to build The Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center, which brings Hank the Cowdog's ranch to life at Texas Tech for the public. You and Hank will get to explore ranching as a business, cowboys and horses, wildlife management, natural resource stewardship and so much more.
With more than one-half acre outdoors and a space almost the size of a ballroom indoors, you and visitors like you will enjoy one-of-a-kind exhibits that engage, inspire and educate. Imagine getting a "cowboy's-eye view" of working cattle from the saddle or learning how a windmill pumps water from underground. All ages will enjoy this interactive educational opportunity.
This vision is within reach. So far, more than 90% of the required funds have been committed by generous people like you. There's still time to join in and help make an impact. With you making it possible and Hank the Cowdog as the guide, the public will be able to learn how ranchers help feed the world and care for our land, animals and resources.
Whether you donate now or share on social media, we can't wait to see the impact you will make through this project for generations to come. Thank you for your support through this year's Day of Giving at Texas Tech.
From your friends at the Ranch,
Jim Bret Campbell, Executive Director | National Ranching Heritage Center
