Graduate Student Research Support
In fall of 2022, the Texas Tech Graduate School saw a record enrollment of over 7,200 students, up 4.3% from the previous year. Nationally, Texas Tech ranks in the top 10% in full-time graduate enrollment and in the top 50 (12%) in the U.S. in granting doctoral degrees.
The majority of graduate students are required to complete thesis or dissertation research in order to graduate. This research often has associated costs for data collection, software, supplies, training and other scholarly activities. To support graduate students with these costs, the Graduate Student Research Support Award (GSRS) was created.
By supporting this fund, you will help graduate students across the university complete their research with reduced out-of-pocket costs and graduate in a timely manner. In addition, your support will ensure Texas Tech can continue to meet our research goals critical to the University’s Carnegie Very High Research Activity (R1) designation.
Your generosity will have a tremendous impact on graduate students across campus, and we appreciate your consideration in contributing to the Graduate Student Research Support Award.
