Huckabee College Student Organization Travel Fund
The Huckabee College of Architecture has over 120 students involved in architecture-related student organizations. Each year those students are, in many cases, required to use their own funds to travel.
The Huckabee College Student Organization Travel Fund will help ensure that students who are active and involved in the student organizations in the Huckabee College can travel to enhance their student learning experience.
Supporting this fund allows student organizations to travel, attend events, and see places they otherwise would not be able to afford to visit. This opportunity will help encourage students to venture beyond the familiar walls of a classroom, and leap into the community of local, national, and international architecture. This creates transformative impact on the student experience by providing global perspectives. Architecture is a global industry that requires knowledge of culture and ecosystems beyond the location of Texas Tech.
Student organizations will be able to apply and be awarded funds for students to travel to events, conferences and other educational opportunities while attending the Huckabee College. These travel experiences will impact students as they learn to navigate resume development, industry experience, networking opportunities, career readiness, portfolio building, and enhancing leadership skills.
