Portable Ultrasound Equipment for Veterinary Students
The Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine strives to serve rural and regional communities of Texas and New Mexico while providing an affordable, accessible program to its students. One way we are equipping future veterinarians to serve these communities is by providing every single RaiderVet student with their own personal ultrasound device for their use throughout the duration of their DVM program.
These ultrasound devices are portable, allowing practitioners to get quick diagnoses and fast resolutions in any setting, whether on the ranch or at the clinic. The ultrasounds are in students’ hands constantly, making the practice of ultrasounding second nature. Equipping RaiderVets with top-of-the-line equipment they will use professionally puts them one big step ahead as they begin their careers.
Each tool is approximately $2,500, and with 100 new DVM students beginning our program this fall, your support helps offset the significant cost of these devices. Help from our Texas Tech family will allow us to provide RaiderVets with one of the most affordable, practical, hands-on veterinary education in the country.
