Support Therapeutic Ridership Accessibility
The Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center (TTRC) is a non-profit organization that offers equine-assisted services to children and adults with special needs, as well as Veterans. TTRC provides services for a wide range of emotional, physical and cognitive needs including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer's disease, and varying emotional and anxiety disorders.
TTRC offers two types of equine-assisted services.
- Hippotherapy – Riders work one-on-one with a licensed speech, occupational or physical therapist to promote functional outcomes
- Therapeutic Riding - Provides benefits in the areas of therapy, education, sport, recreation and leisure while working with a horse in both ground and mounted activities
Being a non-profit organization, TTRC relies heavily upon grants and donations to ensure the continuation of the program and this life-changing form of therapy. With your help through this campaign, TTRC strives to raise funds for riderships. Riderships are awarded to TTRC participants and aid in reducing the cost that participants and their families pay out of pocket for services-allowing them to pay for sessions at a discounted rate as insurance is not currently accepted. With your help, we can ensure those in need have access to vital therapeutic services.
Thank you for your support of the riders and program at Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center!
