Gifts to Mobility Aids for Visitors to the National Ranching Heritage Center contribute to...
The National Ranching Heritage Center welcomes the public seven days per week. Guests discover our nation’s ranching heritage—past and present—through seven indoor galleries and 1.5 miles of pathways across 27 acres. More than 55 historic structures, along with art and artifacts, help tell the story of ranching.
Differently-abled people from all over the world come to learn and explore at the NRHC. Although the NRHC is wheelchair and stroller accessible, the center is expansive with a lot of ground to cover. This project seeks to increase access to the NRHC by having available to patrons two transport chairs and one electric mobility scooter. This would enable greater access and enhanced visitor experience for guests of different mobilities.
The mobility equipment will be available to the public when visiting the NRHC to tour, attend special events and programs and for educational sessions. Differently-abled visitors will be able to access and experience the NRHC more fully, safely and comfortably.
Supporting this project will enable a greater diversity of people to enjoy the NRHC more inclusively.
