About the Victoria Christine Camarillo Endowed Scholarship
The Victoria Christine Camarillo Endowed Scholarship was established by Victoria’s family, with the support of her many friends, to honor her extraordinary life and lasting legacy.
To know her was to understand the true meaning of love. She did not know a stranger and loved unconditionally. She was full of compassion and kindness and lived her life with natural humility.
Born on July 3, 2006, in McAllen, Texas, to Carlos and Christine Camarillo, Victoria was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at seven months old. She never allowed her diagnosis to define her potential. With the unwavering support of her family, teachers, and friends, she lived boldly and purposefully for 18 beautiful years.
Victoria attended Aue Elementary, Rawlinson Middle School, and was a proud senior at Clark High School in San Antonio. Her accomplishments reflected her determination and heart. She was crowned Fiesta Especial Queen in 2019, raising a record-breaking $22,600 for charity. She earned a gold medal in the Special Olympics, served in a leadership role on her school dance team, and spoke as an ambassador for children with special needs—encouraging others to focus on abilities rather than disabilities. She was inducted into the Clark High School National Honor Society in 2023 and selected to represent Northside ISD at the ribbon cutting of Morgan’s Wonderland. A gifted musician, she also played drums for six years with the School of Rock.
Beyond her achievements, Victoria possessed a rare emotional and spiritual intelligence. She instinctively comforted those who were struggling and had an extraordinary ability to see the goodness in others.
Victoria intended to enroll in the TU CASA program at Texas A&M University–San Antonio after graduation. Following a courageous battle with leukemia, she passed away on July 9, 2024.
In honor of her impact and her dream of continuing her education, this endowed scholarship provides lasting educational opportunities for students with disabilities at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. While open to all students with disabilities to ensure ongoing annual impact, her family’s heartfelt hope is to see students with journeys similar to Victoria’s thrive and flourish.
Through this scholarship, her legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love will continue to change lives for generations.

Today, we reached $12,000 toward our $15,000 goal—and it’s all because of you.
Each gift reflects compassion, generosity, and a belief in continuing Victoria’s legacy of love, kindness, and purpose. Because of you, students with disabilities will have the opportunity to pursue their education and thrive—just as Victoria always believed they could.
We are so close, and the impact is already lasting.
Thank you for being part of something that will change lives for generations.
