Today, we are excited to announce the largest expansion of Jaguar Athletics in our history, with the addition of six varsity sports to our athletics program. Beginning in the 2026-27 academic year, the University’s intercollegiate athletics program is preparing to add men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, and men’s and women's cross country.
We are immediately launching a search for a head coach to oversee these sports. The expansion of athletics plays a key part in meeting our strategic plan goals and in broadening our community reach. You can read more in our A&M-SA Today story.
