STUDENTS FIRST! CAMPAIGN

Our 2024 Talladega College Students First Day of Giving on April 22 was a resounding success as we raised $417,471 from 260 donors. Due to continued interest we have decided to extend the campaign through June 15. Your financial support is essential to our success and will help us continue to achieve notable accomplishments like:

• Talladega College has the most compelling origin story in higher education and is a national leader in social mobility. 68% percent of our students are Pell Eligible, and they come from families that earn less than $50,000 annually;
• 70% of the 2023 entering class were admitted through The Assured Admissions process and presented an average GPA of 3.5. The balance of the students were admitted through the Emerging Scholars Program with an overall average GPA of 3.1;
• The Great Tornado Band led the 2024 London New Year's Day Parade and was named a 2024 Top Five HBCU Band by HBCU Buzz;
• The Talladega College Women's Volleyball Team won the 2023-2024 regular season and conference GCAC Championships;
• First Team All-American Krystin Johnson became the first HBCU gymnast to win the USAG National Vault Championship. Kiora Peart-Williams, Alexa Chuy, and Alondra Maldonado also earned First Team All-America Honors;
• Talladega College Esports Rocket League Team won the top prize at the 2024 HBCU Discover Bowl;
• The 2024 Battle of the Brains Team earned second place during the HBCU Competition at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas;
• The Men's Baseball Team won the GCAC Conference Championship, and Miguel Oropeza leads the entire NAIA with a .534 Batting Average and was named GCAC MVP.
